Your Security
To protect your rights under the
terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 we will only store personal information in as far as
it is necessary for marketing, to conduct business or to meet regulatory requirements, of
which those of the Financial Services Authority in the United Kingdom apply.
The FSA requires us to categorise
investors according to expertise, and to ensure that specific recommendations are suitable
for clients in the least expert category, private investors. This may require us to
collect extensive information about your financial circumstances.
Unless you specifically instruct
us to the contrary,using the Feedback form, information
you give us may be used to advise you of other services that may be offered by group
companies in due course.
To confirm the identity of Professional Investment Tools, you may
contact Companies House regarding incorporation, the FSA regarding our authorisation to
conduct investment business, or IFA Promotion regarding our role as an Independent
Financial Adviser.
As regards your computer,
information you give us may be stored in a cookie.
This is a small text file, which can only be accessed from the server that sent it.
Cookies do not download e-mail attachments or otherwise obtain control over your PC.
Please note that you will only be able to receive our subscription service if your browser
is set to accept cookies, and you retain any cookies one we send you. We will not be
responsible for the security of your computer.
The kind of data and purposes for
which it is held may be inspected at the Data Protection Registrar, reference PX4503725.
An administrative charge may be levied, if you wish to obtain records of the personal data
held about you. You can retain a copy of data you submit, by printing out the
confirmations that appear when you complete a form.
Our Security
Responsibility for the
safe-keeping of cookies, digital certificates, passwords and
user names rests with the subscriber. An administration charge may be levied for
processing changes in access data initiated by subscribers.
Your licence to use Investors
RouteMap is granted on the basis that it is installed on a single computer and that your Digital Certificate, User Name and
Password remain confidential. If you encounter difficulties when changing computers,
please send us an e-mail using the Feedback form.
- Should we have reasonable grounds for suspecting that
the subscriber’s section of our website is being accessed by unauthorised computer(s)
using your access data, we reserve the right to terminate your subscription immediately,
in addition to taking any other legal remedies available.
